Have you wanted to do some volunteering in your community? Do you like helping kids, having fun, and feeling like you made a difference? Why not consider joining us and becoming a member of our Kiwanis club?
Why Become a Member?
Although anyone in the community may join us in our efforts to serve our community, full membership brings a wealth of opportunities and is a rewarding experience.
As a member of the Kiwanis Club of Fairfax, you will participate in programs and projects that serve the children of Northern Virginia. You will have all the benefits of club membership – leadership roles, attending workshops and conventions, and Kiwanis International newsletters and magazines. Most importantly, you will be part of a community, have lifelong friends, and get a free club shirt!
With membership also comes networking opportunities. The Kiwanis Club of Fairfax is part of Division 20 of the Capital District of Kiwanis International. As a member, you will have the chance to network with peers from Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC through inter-club meetings with other Kiwanis clubs, monthly Divisional Council Meetings, annual Regional Mid-Winter conferences, annual District Conventions, and annual International Conventions.
How to Join
Step #1: Attend a Meeting
Come to one of our meetings, and let us treat you to dinner!
Upon our board’s approval for membership, you will be assigned a sponsor. This person can answer any questions you may have about our club and Kiwanis International. New members are inducted at one of our meetings.
